Terms of Use

Who provides RideSet

RideSet is operated by Adrian Clark, trading as RideSet. For support, privacy enquiries or complaints, contact ridesetdev@gmail.com.

These draft terms describe using RideSet. The Privacy Notice explains how information is handled.

Who can use RideSet

You must be aged 18 or over to create an account. The intended initial release markets are the United Kingdom, United States, Australia and New Zealand. These terms preserve any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.

What RideSet does

RideSet helps you keep bicycle, component, suspension, usage and service records and track maintenance reminders. Features depend on the version available to you.

RideSet is a recording and reminder tool. It does not inspect a bicycle or certify that it is safe to ride.

Your bike and your responsibilities

Check your bike before riding, follow the relevant manufacturer's instructions and arrange competent mechanical help when needed. Only carry out work you are competent and equipped to perform.

Keep your records, usage, dates and service schedules accurate. Missing entries, upgrades, incorrect settings, sync delays and unavailable services can affect the information shown. A completed checklist, green status or absence of an overdue warning is not confirmation that a bike is safe.

If you suspect a fault or unsafe condition, stop using the bike until it has been assessed and made safe. Read the Legal & Safety page for further guidance on RideSet's limitations.

Your account and content

Protect your sign-in details, use accurate account information and do not access another person's records without permission. Contact us if you suspect misuse.

You retain your rights in the content you provide. You allow us to store, process and display it as needed to provide the features you request. Do not upload unlawful material or information you are not entitled to use. Keep important original documents where appropriate.

AI, guides and connected services

AI suggestions can be incomplete, uncertain or refer to a close model or different year. Review the suggested bike and every component before saving or relying on the result.

Guides and linked videos can be general. Check the manufacturer's instructions for your exact equipment, including compatibility, procedures and torque settings.

Strava is optional. Imported rides, bike matches, duplicates and sync availability can affect recorded usage. Successfully unlinking preserves already credited bike distance, riding time and service progress; it does not erase every account record or backup.

Shopping and affiliate links

Shopping links may lead to a category rather than an exact replacement. Check compatibility, suitability, price and availability with the supplier.

RideSet may earn commission from qualifying purchases through affiliate links. Purchases are made with the supplier under its own terms and privacy information.

Bike-history sharing, when available

You choose whether to create a link and should check the actual report preview before creating or updating it. Anyone with the link can view and forward the dated report without an account.

The report can include bike and component identities, recorded usage and completed service dates, titles and work descriptions. Dedicated notes, account/contact fields, serial and registration numbers, purchase details, receipts, photographs and individual ride or Strava records are excluded. Included text may still contain personal information you typed there, so check it carefully.

A report is a snapshot of user-recorded information. Updating replaces the current link; confirmed withdrawal or expiry stops access through RideSet. It cannot recall copies or screenshots already saved. Sharing does not transfer ownership or move records into another account.

Availability and acceptable use

We will provide the service with the reasonable care and skill required by applicable law. Maintenance, network failures and third-party interruptions can affect availability.

Do not attack the service, misuse sharing links or credentials, bypass access restrictions or request limits, or use RideSet unlawfully. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to protect the service or respond to unlawful use or a material breach, with an explanation and review route where appropriate.

Paid access

The price, billing period, renewal, trial and cancellation arrangements for any paid plan must be shown before you choose it. Stopping renewal, requesting a refund and deleting an account are different actions. Applicable app-store rules and statutory consumer rights continue to apply.

Responsibility and complaints

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Your responsibility for maintaining a bike does not remove our legal duties. These terms do not promise that RideSet can warn about or prevent every failure.

Contact ridesetdev@gmail.com with a complaint. Material changes to these terms will be explained with their date and any notice or acceptance required by applicable law.
